The Washington Park Historic District In Winston-Salem NC has many historical and interesting things about the district and also about the area itself. When visiting here you can spend time in a nice park with your family or friends. This historic district was established on January 19, 1986, for its significance to architecture from 1875 through 1950s.

The history of this particular downtown includes some quite interesting people that dates back to 1769 when it was originally settled by Quakers who migrated west from Pennsylvania along with early German settlers coming from Pennsylvania in 1753.

There are many interesting things to see and do here. One of the events that take place is The Civil War Remembered which happens on June 2nd, 3rd, & 4th from 10:00 am to 5 pm. This event includes civil war battle reenactments, living history encampment, cannon firing demonstrations, period artisan shops and products demonstrations, military maneuvers for children daily at 11 am & 1 pm , period music by musicians dressed in period costumes.

Washington Park Historic District In Winston-Salem NC offers a great view of downtown where you can spend time walking around the area with your family or friends or pets too. You can also take a picnic lunch and eat it sitting under one of the large trees here.
